Mine used to do that with the stock brake pads I had when it got cold. Switched over to the ceramic pads and no squeak in the cold from them.

im almost tempted to take it in to have it looked at....
but the suspension is still tight as, so it has to just be the weather.

Completely normal. It is the combination of the cold and the dirt that is behind on the rotors because with the steelies it is much harder to wash behind the wheel properly.

rick1217 - how much did you pay for the upgrade?

I think that noise is from the fact that we have a sport suspension and they are stiffer.....so when it gets colder.......they are even stiffer and make wierd noises.

I've taken my car in for that suspension squeak and they replaced the suspension bushings or something of the sort. That was last winter and it seemed to be fixed, but it's back for this winter.

ya im pretty sure its just because we have the sports suspension because every SS i've scene does it. i literally watched 9 cobalts go over the same speed bump and every single one of them did the squeek.

My car actually caused people in the parking lot to stop their conversations and turn completely around when I went over a speed bump... not the kind of attention I was going for...
