Yes, from day one (back in 2005) rotors have always been a weak point. Upgrading to EBC or Power slot have been popular.

If you need new rotors, the Stoptech rotors and HP+ pads work very well. I love my new brakes. TurboTechRacing has a great deal on these.

EBC, Brembo or DBA rotors.

StopTech rotors are Centric rotors btw..... Nothing wrong with that, but they just arent as "hardcore" the marketing wants you to believe..

yeah mine warped pretty quickly (on my 08) but I was using them on some curvy roads shortly after I got the car. I may not of broken them in properly. But I am upgrading here in a week or so.

Its highly unlikely that youve actually got "warpage" on an LS(or even on an SS really) its almost certainly thickness variation in the rotor caused by corrosion and road debris buildup.

This is why cutting rotors usually fixes the problem and brings the rotor back into spec. you cant "cut out" warpage

Do a little research on the StopTech website. Your answers are all there.

Expand on what? Stoptech is a division of Centrics, a brake component company. Stoptech has a good reputation for making high end brake parts and big brake kits.

BUT, Stoptech direct replacement rotors are just rebadged Centric Rotors. In fact until recently they were even called Centric High Performance or something similar.

BUT since Stoptech is much more well known, and much higher end name, they simply started calling all the Centric HP rotors StopTech Sportstops.

Again, nothing wrong with this, Centric makes a good product, but this is all just marketing BS. Would you have bought a Centric HP rotor for upwards of $170 when other than drilling or slotting it looks just like the regular Centric rotors that are $65?? No probably not, but you would probably have no problems at all dropping that much cash on a StopTech rotor.

Again, to be clear Centric/Stoptech offer a good product, I use Centric replacement rotors whenever I can(not stoptechs, just plain Centrics) but be an educated consumer, these are the same rotors that you wouldve blown off last year because of the name.

i got ya, i didn't know if you meant centric as in a build style or something. I personally haven't heard of them as a brake company, thanks!
