stock rear shock specs

Any one know the specs on the oem shocks? I'm planning on buying some coilover shocks for the rear on my g5. And i need to know the extended length, compressed length, and shock diameter and also the bolt sizes for the shock. Thanks.

No well i want to figure out the rrar first since when one buys coilovers the rear are not real coilovers just springs and a shock like stock but shorter. I'm planning on installing coilover shocks instead like on old muscle cars when one upgrades the suspension

So you want to make your own rear coilover? I think someone did that using a Honda coilover.
But our cars use the separate coil and shock because of the way the rear suspension is designed, where as other cars use a "strut" like design where an actual coil on shock will work.
They work the same.

the only problem with bolting a coilover shock in the rear is the shock mounting location isnt really designed to take the weight of the car, just provide enough support for a damper. this is why the coilover kits for our cars uses a seperate adjustable spring. we also dont have a very long shock, making it harder to put a spring on.

DO NOT run a coilover in the stock shock location. 2 have tried, both coilovers snapped.
