Strut Bar Install Help!!!!

I Just Recieved My DC Sports Front Strut Bar Today but I have no idea how much to torque it down. Assistance is needed ASAP Please

Be carefull of the bolts though, the stock ones have been known to break

Just tighten them with your socket wrench until it feels nice and tight, and then don't worry about it.

I broke one of the bolts trying to take the nut off, but I rigged it with a different bolt and its been fine for about 9 months now.

I'm sure there is a "right" amount of torque you should apply, but you can do it just as well on the fly. As long as it isn't loose you should be fine; its only a strut bar after all.

all my other cars that i had strut bars put on got torqued down to a particular psi, but nobody seems to know what that is...

Just torque it down nice and tight. You don't have to go crazy with it; its just a strut bar.

Do a search. There is a torque spec. Those bolts dont just hold down your strut brace they hold your front struts in place. There is a reason for the the torque spec. When I installed mine I used a how to from this site.

its 15lbs

they're not really holding in much, the weight of the car is enough to pretty much keep the struts from slipping, just torque it down to 15lbs and you'll be fine.
