SO i have been hearing a metal on metal type of smack sound when hitting some hard bumps. Well i had to replace the bearings, so those are new. End links are new. Struts are fairly new.

When I put the car on jack stands and raise the front driver wheel off the ground, I can hit the bottom of the strut with my palm hard and hear the metal on metal smacking noise. It seems to come from the strut area.

It is not the sound transmitting to the rotor without the lugs on.
The bottom plastic seat to the spring/strut looks ok.

What the hell could be making that sound?

yep, I believe they are white
