i wanna improve my SS' handling and i was wondering if a strut tower bar would be the same for an 09 as it would be for an 05 or 06

 

no the strut tower bar is different on the ss/tc, they changed the upper strut bolt pattern.

a strut tower bar doesnt do much on a cobalt as the strut towers are so close to the firewall and already very stable. most vendors will even admit they are mainly for show. you would be better off with lowering springs, koni struts, swaybars, ect
