Are these coilovers good?

Okay so I might be keeping the cobalt after all, but if I'm keeping it then I'm modifying it haha. I want to change out the stock ss/sc shocks and struts, but I wasn't sure if I should go with something like these coilovers http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-EZ-Street-Coilover-Damper-Suspension-Chevy-Cobalt-05-10-15way-F-6kg-R-6kg-/330957858295?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACobalt%7CSubmodel%3ASS&hash=item4d0ea025f7&vxp=mtrOr if I should get the t/c fe5 shocks/struts with sportlines.
Most of my driving is in city driving, I haven't yet done an autocross run but I may in the future, and honestly the thought of being able to adjust my suspension so easily with the coilovers sounds appealing haha. Will my car sit lower with the coilovers or the fe5/sportlines?

the best ones for these cars are the bc racing ones imho followed by stance. theres way better out in the industry but your very limited with the cobalt.

coilovers will go lower then fe5 and sportlines. i wouldnt waste money on the megans as i feel they are junk especially if you intend to autocross.

For autocross: no.

To go super low: no

To go meh low: yes

Worth the $700? no

Spend an extra $1-200 to go lower.

Those are the new coil overs from Megan. They're supposed to be their "budget" set. I have their more expensive set.

Car will sit lower with coils vs a traditional setup. If you can handle a rougher ride, get them.

Yeah I know about BC racing and stance, they're definitely the best, I'm just a little tight on cash haha, I'm trying to work with what I have. I like the look and height of sportlines, so dollar for dollar, would I just be better off getting a set of used 08-10 fe5 struts and shocks (About 50k miles on them) and putting sportlines, or saving an extra $500 for coilovers?

Don't stock shocks and struts go out in a while after putting springs? I to like how the sportlines look. But I would just save up the money and go buy the better coilovers. for a extra 300 bucks , its not worth it in the long run.

Another guy on here has these. They looked good. You just don't get as much configuration from their more expensive set. If you wanna go low on a budget, these would work.

FE5 can handle it. FE3/FE1 will blow out.

Koni's will also blow out on springs that constantly bottom out.

I spent right about $1100 on my suspension which is Koni's at all four corners, YYZ V.3 springs and a Powell Hardcore rear swaybar.

This really is one of the best suspension setups you can get at the moment though. When setup correctly it'll out handle coilovers.

You do get what you pay for from a Powell and Koni setup, but that's an extra $400.
Both will provide better performance than SS/SC FE5 setup, but you gotta figure out whether you want more performance or more low, and if you want more performance, can you swing the extra money.

Yeah true true, I mean my shocks and struts as they are now are due for replacement, especially the back, it's been sagging more and more lol. That's why I thought these coilovers would be best, they're affordable and honestly if they give me even a 1% increase over stock I'd be fine with that. How much would the drop be though? And I would need an alignment after installing correct?

Are these better than the other ones though, are they worth an extra $300?

Then go for coils. Be warned, the ride will be harder.

Those are the ones I have. I don't know if they go lower, but they're probably better built than the blue ones and they have 32 levels of adjustment versus 15 or whatever.

I dont know how many of these people have actually tried them... Ive been on them for a few months and honestly there pretty dam good for the price. Ive had quite a few different coil setups over the years and they ride and feel great. No gripes from me
