Thoughts on rear twisting beam sway bars
thanks for the info... i was just getting ready to search about this. so for best handling on my 2.2 i can use the hardcore bar and the ss/tc front sway and have great handling? or is it more complex than that?
Bars alone are not the ultimate; you need shock damping and springs. So the ultimate imho would be to add Pedders springs and TC struts/shocks with that sway bar combo, and some OTTP cabs....
i actually have tc struts/shocks and sportlines... i cant use the bushings unless i can find some fe5 control arms cheap.
You are almos there; and its true; its hardly worth the effort to make an insert for the steel flca. Why dont you search for some used ones? New alloy flca are not that expensive if you have gone to that expense and trouble...
well i needed new struts so i put those on instead of new 2.2 ones. the springs were on 2 weeks after i bought the car but i think you would sell quite a few of the 2.2 bushings since there are so many of us going tc and sc. my stock ones are about gone and im still with basic bolt ons. i have been watching on here and ebay for the lca but have yet to find some reasonable. but another question... is the hardcore bar overkill for a dd that wants better handling?

I am doing springs and bars next for livewire. The time attack was a dry sumped diamond piston stock cams.timing gears stock everything else motor with a tvs style hi helix M62 and griffin racing h/e and dual pass option B with GMR head ferrara valve springs and nitrous. 3 inch exhuast straight back.
An ice bath tank was built by myself and tried but failed practically. works great for bonneville the lsr cars weigh 5000 lbs
the Koni cars were bone stock with said Griffin h/e and option B. Not even a header, 3 inch ex pipes followed stock routing, but were deleted for stock exhaust in 2006 (rules makers)
