Big tear is the freshly exposed black rubber in the first image in the lower right area of the bushing. It started making the clunking noise on Friday and the tear looks quite fresh. I couldn't find a good thread on the list of options for replacement. What parts exist for replacing this guy (other than OEM through dealership)?

Most certainly that will make the front end clunk.

look for LCABS

Or if you just want plain old replacements go with Moog.

The moogs are nice non-voided option but my driver side moog ripped within 3 weeks of being pressed in, powells are now on order.

Does anyone know if 15232501 is the correct P/N (is the SS TC bushing different than the other levels?)? I would get upgraded ones but the stock ones lasted me nearly 80k miles so that's pretty good.

do yourself a favor and don't put in anything else other than the powell bushing. stock bushings will tear in another 10k miles. urethane bushings are too stiff for the amount of motion required, and will crack. a spherical bearing is the only way to go.

Not sure why a new part wouldn't last as long as an old part (unless the wear on the ball joint/other bushings causes more movement and puts more stress on this bushing reducing the life).

Its a crap shoot with that style of bushing, some ppl never have problems others have nothing but problems with the stock cab bushing until they go to Powell's. A few reviews I've read about Powell's cab bushing say the tighten the steering up so its more responsive. I don't have them yet but they're next on my purchase list

Well shows how much I know, the clunking noise was due to my caliper bolt being loose. After it fell out it really started making noise and upon replacing it the clunking noise was gone.

Still need to replace the bushing though since it's ripped.
