Ugh not so stock front ride height.

So Long story short, I had Ksport coils on the balt. They have been on there for like 5 years and after awhile just became worn out and I got sick of the ride. (I Have a CTS-V also and it spoiled me with ride comfort) So I just went to Advance auto and picked up some Monroe quick struts and installed them. Well after install the cobalt sits like a monster truck. reverse rake and everything.

Im just wondering will the springs settle down to somewhere close to stock height after a few weeks? Everyone has been telling me it will but im having my doubts cause I can stick my whole fist in between my fender an tire. lol Im hoping it will settle down and all.

Any input is really appreciated

the quick struts are for the base model, not the SS there are two different ride heights between them. It will not settle down, you'll have to change the springs in the strut

It fits, but it says in most fine print not for the FE5 suspension (aka SS suspension)

I never saw it say anything about the FE5 suspension so I didn't think much of it.. but what ever. If I put drop springs on or the stock FE5 springs will the struts give me an issue?

They will work but wont last as long since they are crappy struts sitting lower than they were made to. I have a set of fe5 ss/sc springs if your interested.

They won't handle well because they are the soft struts designed for base models

Ugh not so stock front ride height.

I would return those and get some fe5 struts off amazon. They are like $85 a piece. Then buy some lowering springs or buy some stockers from a member off here. And you should be able to do this all yourself. There are a few detailed "how to's" on here to help you through it. Its easier than you think
