weird silver groove on disc?
weird silver groove on disc?
Hey guys, quick question. My brakes have been squeaking like mad for the past like 4-5 months, and i was told over and over again that this was normal. upon looking at my front rotors today, i noticed a very distinctive silver line, on the smallest radius part of the disk, near the inside. its very noticeable, and I have these on both front discs. the rear discs do not have these. any suggestions to what this might be?
Having brake pad doesnt mean they don't need replaced, rule of thumb once the brake pad is the same width as the back plate change your pads, stock pads (depending on which cobalt you have) aren't super expensive
that seems to me to be normal wear. its from the edge of the pad, cutting into the metal of the rotor. not sure what the SS/TC factory pads are constructed of, but performance pads are typically noisy.
