What every Cobalt should have!!!

The cobalt stock handles great. But, for me it left something to be desired. My car used to get a litle upset when I hit bumps going around high speed turns.

So, most of my mod money when to suspesion and I think I ended up wiht the perfect setup. I got a DC strut bar, it help steering feel when I hit bumps but didn't do much to make the car turn better.

The Progress Sway bar really tightened up the handeling. There is virtualy no body roll, but on the high speed sweepers, on roads that have expansion joints and such the car was still upset.

I installed Eibach Pro-Kit for that, at first it felt excatly the same as stock, untill I was going on RT 1 in Boston and felt the new springs really soak up the bumps, and keep the wheels planted on the road. I notice a huge difference with the springs when I'm on back roads with potholes around turns too. They really keep the tires on the road without any drama.

Along with the Ingalls TD to totaly elliminate any wheelhop, I made a great handeling car into an amazing handeling car. I highly recomend these mods to any cobalt owner. Now the real hard decision comes, Turbo or whipple???

Does anyone else have some mods they think are a nessesity on a cobalt????

there--- now I can read it

interesting. Did the ride quality suffer? Unless you have perfect roads to drive on should be a concern.

Fixed the post, thanx for suggestion. And, no the quality of ride was just like stock or better. It handles imperfect roads way better than the stock springs. I couldn't believe it myself when I started testing the new springs out.

i'm not saying i don't believe you...but there is no way you can lower a car on stock struts...and have it ride the same or better than stock...and if it is, it won't be for long.

out of the handling mods I've done so far, sway bars are the biggest difference makers.

The Pro-Kit only lowers the car .5" in the rear, It's not even noticable. I Wanted to see a difference but couldn't.
