so im guessing u have to buy the whole spring seat to get this part? anyone know if u can get it separately? didnt see it listed separately on gmpartshouse. nor i have i been able to find it anywhere online. i hope this isnt one of those things where u have to buy a $150 assembly just to replace a $3 part..

im kind of wondering if this thing is even needed...

Its not needed if you don't mind hearing it squeak every time your spring moves.

GMpartsdirect lists it as a "Bumper Bumper Back " for $32.67.

havent ordered one yet. it is actually like 2 rings now. the outer one was just hanging off in the middle of the spring but i put it back up top.

i think its called the rear spring upper insulator. i also read that one guy was told that the dealer calls it the upper jounce pad?

There isn't an "outer and inner" one. Yours have just worn through in the middle. Mine did the same. The only way to get them is to buy the whole bump stop assembly. In the parts catalog, it is called a bumper of some sorts. It's a total ripoff that they don't sell that part separately.

Mine also ripped. Don't they do much except isolate noise, which for this car is kind of a laugh...
