Would GM notice?

I'm thinking about buying some SS/SC springs to put on my balt, i don't want that low of a car, and i know they won't lower it that much, but i need better handling and the ass end to be down a little bit.

Do you guys think the mechanics at GM would notice the difference between LT springs and SS/SC springs, just if i was going in for oil changes?

I don't think they would...just like to get some opinions,
appreciated, thankss-

my dealership doesn't care about mods either, plus we're neighboors and friends with the owners..and i go to highschool with his son
the owner actually had to convince my mom that it was okay to put all the GMPP stuff on my car that i did(LOL!) he wrote her a note saying it was fine and would not void the warranty.

I don't think GM Tech would care since the SS/SC Springs are still made by GM
I have many mods on my 2.2 and the Techs don't care as long as it's not a hack job like cutting your airbox or using eibach sportlines with stock FE1 Struts

i agree. i cant see the techs giving you a issue about the springs. they as was said earlier gm made. as long as they are installed correctly no harm no foul. thats just my point of view

I have wondered this too, as I have been wanting to buy SS springs to put on my 2.2 Cobalt. My rims didn't come on my Cobalt, but they're OEM nonetheless.

Even if they did notice, they could only give you **** about things that are directly related to the installation of the springs. So unless you are planning on putting the springs on and then replacing your struts under warranty, then you have nothing to worry about.

What he said. SS/SC springs are still a GM product, so they shouldn't care.

And the point I was trying to make, is even if you have non-gm parts (like eibach springs, for instance), all they can do is not do waranty work on parts effected by those springs. Not a big loss.
