ZZ Performance strut-bar/LNF Intake clearance

I was attempting to install a ZZ Performance moly strut bar last night and the intake tubing for the turbo won't clear.

Does anyone know of a cold air or short ram that will allow the use of this (or similar) strut bar?

I'd really prefer see what happens with the GM Stage 2 intake upgrade, but I can't wait.

Thanks in advance.
Scott

LOL WUT. You cant wait to install a strut bar?

But anyway, a hammer will be your friend on this endeavour.

(if the above advice seemed in anyway sarcastic then you are in fact not brain dead, please continue reading this site and take note of how many times it is stated that a strut bar is unneeded)

your firewall is right there so you dont need a strut bar. if your intake is in the way just drill a hole through it and feed the strut bar through to the other side. then just use black electrical tape around where the bar goes into the intake and no1 will ever know.

but seriously return it

also if look by through the vents on the windshield sealant theres a bar that goes from one side of the car to the other and it's connected to the firewall. at least on the ions there is

I've prepared and raced a number of different types of vehicles over a number of years and I recently bought my first Cobalt to use it as an autocross platform. I will be racing against a number of very well-prepared, well-driven BMWs, Audis and VW R32s -- so any suspension trick would be helpful.

Based on the replies that I received from this one inquiry, I see that I made a substantial mistake seeking assistance here.

Please accept my apologies, I won't make this mistake again.

how'd you make a mistake? we told you the honest answer.. it's not going to work becuase of the piping.. and even if you found some way to make it work.. its not needed a rear sway bar mid frame brace, chassis brace and coilovers would be what you need

The mistake youve made is that you asked a question when you already had the answer set in your mind. Now the answer youve recieved is different than what you want it to be so it seems wrong.

If you look around at the fastest Cobalts youll find that they dont run strut bars.

Youll find that GM suspension/chassis engineers involved in the racing program determined that a strut bar wasnt a beneficial modification.

Youll find that there is currently no intake tubing cited as working with a strut bar, just as there is no strut bar cited as working with the LNF powered cars.

Perhaps you didnt like the manner in which some responses were made, but that doesnt change the fact that they are accurate.

While you may not like the answers youve recieved and you feel this forum isnt for you(you may be right) you learned a lesson, you should research more BEFORE you purchase, because you wouldve found out the ZZP bar wouldnt fit, yyou wouldve found it isnt needed and you couldve spent your $80 more wisely.
