In Cobalts, the LSJ 2.0 S/C has a 16 bit data bus on the P12 ECM and the LE5 2.4 N/A has a 32 bit data bus on its E67 ECM. That creates a major problem when switching between the two. This may also apply to other ECMs with the same issue.

To prevent problems there is an easy solution that resets a HP Tuners configuration file, as follows:

Open the (text) file VCM Suite.cfg in Notepad. It's location may vary depending on which version of HP Tuners you have. About midway, there will be a line, as follows:

<add key="VehicleBus" value="x" />

Whatever value there is where you see the "x" in "value", change that to a "0" (zero). Save the file and have at your desired ECM.

If you run into this often, make a convenient shortcut to the file (maybe on desktop?).
