e37? forsome reason that sticks out in my mind... give me a min to check il be back

Garrett's Alpha kit can also be bought at retail and is completely user installable. It uses a flash tune.

The 2007 model year has switched to the E37 ECM. The above kits won't work on it or later models
it was the E37

Guys,

Here in Europe we have a lot 2,2 Ecotec cars running with the Delco GMPT-E15, which should be very similar to your E16 ecu, and has the same problem: No tuning available...
If this SCT solution works also on our 2,2, you will get a lot more happy customers over here.

But reading this:
"If you buy the software package you can tune as many cars as you want, but will need a X3 device for each car. We sell tuner, we sell to dealers at a wide range of pricing depending on quantity, and to the end parket it is somewhere around $379."

From their page:
SCT Tuners Lock to the Vin of a single vehicle. You cannot use the tuner on a second vehicle until the original vehicle has been returned to stock. The tuners come with 5 changes (DCX Tuners 3 Changes); Each time you return a vehicle to stock, and program a new vehicle it takes away a change.
Once all 5 changes have been used, the Device is locked and needs to come back to SCT to be unlocked/reset. There is a $65 fee for this.
If the original vehicle is not returned to stock and a customer wants to use the Tuner on a Second Vehicle, the device will need to come back to SCT to be unlocked/reset. There is a $150 fee for this.

So how does this correspond with:

that will include the software and x3 for one car
once you have the software you can tune as many vehicles as you want...you will just need to purchase an x3 for the other vehicle you want to tune

But a GM flash device (not X3?) costs around $479,- in their shop...
Please ask SCT about this...

the ballpark figure for the tune and x3(gm based x3) will be somewhere around 380

all this is software they had stored in their vault of almost forgotten secrets....and now they will begin test and tune again...they are a bit busy with some other cars that they have in house right now...but we should get an update around December 1st on how this whole package will be available to us. the whole test and tune process is about 3 weeks...then once they get their software right they will implement it into the x3 tuners and the gm advantage software....so they will offer...custom tuning software and canned tunes

Stiil confused with the part "....you can tune as many cars as you want, but will need a X3 device for each car..."
For 380,- total, the needed GM X3 flashtool will then be significant cheaper than the ones currently in their shop:

Wait for December...

unfortunately for you mr silent your mistaken.. they're NOT going to give you the gm advantage III tuning program for free.. after they've charged dealers thousands to buy it in the past..

the flashers (the x3) costs the price you stated.. as others have said

and even if they drop the price of gm advantage to like 400 bux.. thats still 700 bux you'll be spending to do it .. and while yes you can tune yourself everyone needs to buy a flasher.. so it'd be just like trifecta..

im not gonna lie, i dont tune my car, fred at SMG uses it, since its my only option it will have to do, it has its qwirks tho, the way they make you do things is different but when you get used to it, its fine. Ive only shut codes off with it by myself lol injector calculations are a bitch, they dont make it easy

HPT is still playing the 6 more months...6 more months...6 more months game so I have zero hope for that. Looks like it will forever be Trifecta or nothing.
