Another pulley down injector up thread(NC tuner?)
Hey everyone I've been searching through threads for days but hard to get consistent information.
I bought the car with the TVS 3.15 and 60's have done only one engine mod a longtube and catless downpipe (god the exhaust leak i can't get rid of ) in the past year and a half.I'm thinking its time to pulley down so I bought a 2.8 and stage 2 belt from ZZP.
I ran into two problems trying to get the pulley install/tune. 1) the 60s arent going to cut it and 2)I can't find anyone around Raleigh or Greenville NC that will tune the car on the street.
ZZP says their canned tune will work and they dont have to tune for the pulley. And also that it is not safe to pulley down without a tune. Im confused???
So it will be safe to run 80's with the TVS on a 2.8? A custom tune will be needed?
EV6 injectors are for the 2.2 2.4. So i will need EV1s. Will the EV1s plug and play since I already have 60s?
Thanks any help/link to any threads appreciated. I used the search bar

Nice score getting the car with the nice blower. I'd focus more on supporting mods then trying to pulley down right now. Finish the exhaust with a quality flowing muffler(not zzp's magnaflow) and big intake with cooling mods(dual pass, opt b., Griffin), no front mount, and build the fuel system for future plans. The TVS gets thirsty being pushed, especially on e85.
60's are already properly maxed out as is. 80's at least or consider 1ks. Buy the injectors for what clips you currently have. 60's come in either style. A boost reference return style isn't a bad idea as well.
I wouldn't pulley down without a retune, and proper gauges to monitor your vitals.

Ok so no go with 60s. I'll grab a set of 80s from zzp. Do you guys know how I could contact m dub or someone in the nc area that tunes?.
Hmmm. . I want to run meth but I daily the car. From what I hear meth tunes can go bad really fast.
I have no muffler or resonator just a long tube w straight pipe right now btw. It's loud to say the least.
I have an interceptor but never can find how to monitor my air fuel with it

You need wideband 02 gauge to monitor afr. Look for an LC-1 or AEM UEGO. For anything below a 2.9 pulley on a tvs I would recommend running meth or e85. Meth isn't as bad as it's made out to be but you do have to keep an eye on the afr and watch for knock. My current setup is a 2.8 TVS with 80's and 50/50 meth with a 7gph nozzle. I love how the car pulls.

Tunes don't go bad but meth pumps do. But that's what wide bands are for. I do have a wide band in the exhaust but no gauge came with the car. Def look into the AEM.
So I'm buying 80s.
Wide band gauge
Meth kit.
Install.
Tune.
Maybe a clutch down the road.
Maybe torque dampener
Nittos? My potenzas suuck
Anything else. Warnings?
Inspiration?
