clearing codes on 07 lsj and 06 2.4

Ok,
My friend and i are gonna finally tackle clearing the CEL codes caused by our catless dp's. After we select all the correct codes, the 07 ss/sc can just be flashed right? and for the 06 2.4 i will have to do write entire so that it gets the entire thing and doesnt screw up?

Why do you have to do a write entire? I thought you just changed the setting on the p0420 code and did a quick write, and good to go?? Worked for me and several others.

From what I've read the 2.4 do require a full re-write

I remember hearing somthing like that, I was just under the impression that a full write can cause more issues than a partial write, so it is generally discouraged.

every cobalt i've ever done has only needed a quick flash, even for big changes. They were all LSJs though, so the LE5 might be different, can't say.

All 2.4's require a write entire every time or you will be locked out of the ECU.
