EFILive
EFILive
Ok, a few months ago EFILive did not have any cobalts listed under there supported vehicles. However, thanks to a question from a different thread I went exploring and found that the LSJ is now listed under their supported vehicles.
Has anyone tried out EFILive for our cars or know any more about this???

From what I hear they are falsely advertising they can tune them yet as posted by one of their creators:
"Sorry for the false start P12 guys, in our last update we had to make a change to the software to ensure all the new style tables (like the E38, P12 use) show correctly. Unfortunately this meant a lot of work went down the drain .
What we will probably do is release a scaled back version of the P12 calibrations with the important trans, fuel, spark tables to get everyone up and running and then do a thorough update in the following weeks. "
Eventually they may actually offer something but currently its alot of false promises.

I know EFI live is a good alternative in the F-body world...
Yet i have not seen it work on our cars yet.. so i guess i cant comment
And of course HP Tuners people are going to say EFI Live is bad.. but i think its too soon to tell..

pcm is hardcoded for only 2.5 bar tops so 3 bar is near impossible.
If there are specific tables you'd like to see for your lsj I suggest posting in the features request section of our forum at www.hptuners.com as we rarely get more requests since everything needed is pretty much in there already, but suggestions are always welcomed.

Creating a custom operating system is a horribly time consuming feat if and when its even possible. If you think that extra ~5psi of VE area will make or break your tune I suggest emailing your request to support or posting in the features request section. I don't recall more than 1 or 2 people requesting it so its hard for them to rationalize the effort for a small handful of people that have requested it.

Ya i figured as much. Just this turbo and blow thru maf is being an absolute bitch to tune. And it absolutely doesnt work on VE only as the turbo make variable boost when it maxes the ve cells wreaking total chaos on the tune.
BTW how can u tell if ur maxing a maf out?
I think our max range is 12,000 hz or up to 41 lb/min on the stock maf. I know mine when it maxes out drops to 0.0 lb/min (and creates a horrendous backfire and f's with my meth injection) found that one out on the dyno the other day.
BTW I'll be picking up and LS2 maf in the next week or two since they are good to support over 600hp and have the built in IAT sensor like ours. I'll let you know how that one turns out.

I also forgot our spark tables go to 8192 rpm but our ve table only goes to 6800rpm.
Another problem lol
Talk to GM as to why they did things. Considering most of the newer computers don't even have a VE table they probably stopped caring too much about having a backup table for the MAF so don't spend a whole lot of time making it a "perfect" backup system.

GM doesnt need it.. neither do I..
I'll just get a bigger maf..
