GM Service Tech 2.2 Tuning!

Okay; I work @ the chevrolet dealer in my town as a salesman; and i was talking with him this morning; and he said that he thinks he can laptop tune my car! but; i dont know if he can or not; he said we gotta buy a liscense for it; so i think he's using HPTuner....but I really am not sure...

if nothing else; he said he could remove rev limiter; speed governor; and advance the timing on the car (because the car has the Cam Positioning Sensor).............all that's done to my little 2.2 is I/H/E....thinking of DP; but IDK if it will give me signifigant enough gains to fool with....

anyway; has anyone else done this? or is he just trying to fish me outta some $$ for no reason because it can't be done...anybody know?

Dont always beleive what they say. I had one telling me the same thing that I can get it removed just before that he tells me the speed is governed because the tires on LS models can only handle a certain high rate of speed. (Lt models come with upgraded alloys and higher rated speed tires).

So I show up at the dealership 800 dollars later with some brand new 17 inch rims with high speed rated tires (atleast 240 km/h rated and more), and they tell me it will void the warranty if i Get it removed now

Having a cam sensor and being able to advance ignition timing doesn't make sense.

Sounds fishy
