HP question

my dad has an 06 Monte Carlo SS

we put magnaflows on it and a K&N air filter on it

how much horsepower and torque do u think we have?

and we are running a 5 flat 0-60 maybe even faster considering stock is about 5.4

and for my main question, what else can we do for more horsepower/torque besides n2o and turbo/supercharger its still and everyday spring/summer/fall car sorry no winter

true, that never crossed my mind but.... there are a lot of people here that know what they are talking about so i figured why not ask

and i do like the mid-late 80's montes as long as they are an SS, that was what i wanted to get for my first car but in michigan, rear wheel drive with a lot of horsepower doesnt work well in the winter, but maybe when i get a job i can pick up a cheap one and fix it up lol

Well if your Monte makes 303 HP at the crank stock and you installed an intake and an exhaust system you are most likely looking at about a 10 - 20 hp gain I'd say purely based on the fact that it's a V8.

there is a lot of stuff holding back the ls4. you want an honest answer. check out ls1tech.com. there is a ls4 section on there for this type of stuff.

p.s. add 1.8 shaft mount rocker arms

won't fit.

the ls4 crank is 13mm shorter than the standard lsx series. the heads are 243 castings, the cam is ls2 based. blah blah blah.

the transmission won't bolt up to anything BUT the ls4 due to the starter location, and end casting of the block.

get into the ecm with HPT and kill the DOD, add spark and lean out to 13's at wot.

port the head and then do high ratio rockers with a nice cam.
