No worries. By "HOM switch", I mean the process Staged07SS outlined here:
Pressing the cruise button, then holding the Set button switches HOM on or off.
You can do this with the engine on by the way. It is based on rear wheel speed, so you can do it as long as you're not moving.

I was just relaying the instructions from the GMS3 kit for engaging HOM.
This is not the kind of thing that is going to happen over night unfortunately. If you're serious about this then you can email Vince@trifectaperformance.com and let him know you want it.
The main issue here is going to be demand. So far I can count about 3, maybe 4 people that want this. I'm sure others would appreciate it too, but I'm hesistant to pull Vince away from his other projects for something that may not even show a return. If anyone reading this would be interested in a safe way of switching between Gas and E85 tunes via the HOM switch (this would eliminate HOM as we know it), then please make yourself heard.

I think there would be more people interested in doing it if the idea were put in front of them. You can just about any kind of fuel you need at the track so if you don't have E85 stations near you you can still be on pump gas and when you go to the track you're burnin corn and rubber :-)
I run race gas a few times a year while I have my car out, and I'm more than content with the power while in H.O.M.
the thing is the maf difference with premium and e85 are different so if its just the spark is the only thing thats gettin altered your not gettin most of the corn well thats my understanding.

To run it as is from GM would not work with E85, as you would need to tune the fueling side of things as well.
What we are proposing is a way to have dual tunes with the ability to switch via the cruise control button like you would with GMR S3's high octane mode.
All the tuning for E85 would be encased in the seperate tune. If you are in a pinch, or just want to run 93 you would be able to switch back, and forth. Vince has not covered this yet, but I feel it could be possible.
