Safest yet most aggressive pulley size for 52 lbs (550cc)
Just curious what would be the safest pulley size on average for 52 lbs injectors. Id go 60 siemens but our rail only supports 55 and im not trying to go too crazy with it. Friend is running 42# with a 2.9 for 6 months and said he doesnt have issues. So im guessing maybe 2.8 or 2.7?
Im using colder NGK BKR7EIX plugs as well.

bought a bosch harness and the 52 lbers from ebay.
think the total damage bill was 230 for the injectors and 60 for the harness (prices were with shipping)
2.7 is pretty safe then? If need-be ill put the cobra intercooler on before I slap the 2.7.

Umm physics update...
Weather your pumping 20lbs an hour of fuel through 60# injectors or 50# injectors your still running that much fuel through the rail. The capacity that the injector is able to handle has no effect on how much fuel total you are putting through the system. In layman's terms whether you run 60's or 50's if you have the same tune + pulley its not going to be any more or less strain on the fuel rail.
Also the Cobra H/E does very little alone, do dual pass first. The cobra is more of a compliment to the dual pass.
Good luck with your tuning.

After some research I think Ill go with the 2.79 pulley for various reasons. 2.7 seems a bit borderline with the IDC and im probably going to want to keep an 11 AFR

I would not run a 2.6, I think a 2.7 would be good. Personally I would get a custom pulley made from Nate. He makes some real nice pullies and I never heard of any problems with his. Get like a 2.75 custom made pulley. Not as agreesive as a 2.7, but not as conservative as a 2.8 Either way I would never run anything smaller then a 2.9 without dual pass and a heat exchanger.

I love my 2.79. Never had problems with that. I see the injectors you are using are a good way to try to keep the safety limits. But, few people have tune to give you for them, you will have to do it yourself. The dual pass is a pain to do but worth it.
5 minutes after a run on the track my intake manifold is cold because the pump is alway on when the key is on, the car doesn't have to be running. It's a cool trick you can do when you tune.
I wont go smaller then my pulley but soon enough I wont have to think about pulleys.

hard to compare dp with water injection....
You running it without the dual pass or with? I was going to go methanol later but its like fitting the puzzle pieces together the best way without screwing things up. One change can mess with ALOT of things so Im trying to minimize drastic changes.
Im pretty sure ill need a new set of stage 2 axles and clutch when its all over as well, however one thing at a time.
