good to see you gus have another alternative.. do i think it's better then trifecta if you have a dealer close by.. no.. but the fact that you get to keep it is pretty cool.. and a alternative to someone who doesn't want to buy the tuner cable from vince (which allows you to do all the same things but anywho lol) but more so an amazing alternative to the shitty BSR tuner lol

Only $100 more than your canned tune and you can change things anytime you want to.
I used to have a supechips on my GMC truck and it ran fine when the truck was stock but once I added an intake and exhaust I started seeing a ton of knock which I could not fix because there are not fueling, MAF, or timing adjustments.
Dude, I have been here for a long time now. Trust me, learn for yourself and dont take anything on here at face value. There was a like a 10 page argument on how NLS worked... Lots of mis information, game talkers, and assumptions.
If YOU feel happy with your investment, thats all that matters.

HPTs is expensive if you buy the software brand new. Like $500 for the basic and $650 for the Pro version.
But HPTs comes with 8 credits which can license 4 cars right out of the box. That is only $162.50 per vehicle w/ Pro. Then if you run out of credits you can buy as many as you like for $50 each.
If you can find someone with HPTs the license fee is only $100. Most tuners will charge between $50-$250 for a tune. And these are fully customized tunes.
Trifecta charges $300? And that is a custom tune to the car which includes adjustments for all bolt ons. So it can take advantage of all the aftermarket parts installed on the car.
The Super Chips a canned tune and is the most expensive on a per vehicle basis. It does not take into consideration any aftermarket mods. So you can bolt-on all the stuff you want and the tune will not take advantage of the new components.
Super Chips is the least advanced/most limited by far.
I am not a fan boy of any specific tuning system.

and yea trifecta is 285 for the GT tuner.. 225 or so for a tune from a dealer or 250 to buy the cable to be able to flash the car yourself .. so really ... hptuners or trifecta or maybe efi live are the best routes canned tunes are FTL.. and for the people being like ZOMG yuo can data log.. what difference does that make if you cant make changes based on the logs?
no way someone that actually thought about it lol

yay fan boi's! Wooohooo.
I like to pay 250$ to get a fucked up tune that has 3 problems before it gets fixed and then burns out my clutch.
Sounds fun. Thanks but no thanks.
Seriously I was all for ordering trifecta until I see a post a day saying something else is wrong etc. Yeah Vince is great with customer service but what choice does he have.

congrats. you now have a locked car. you add mods to it. you screw your self.
there is a reason why HPT works well {aside from pushing the limits of the ecm}. now, go add something simple to your car. like a bigger fmic. then watch what happens. car runs like dog ass.
hand held programmers are fine for stock vehicles. anything above this, it becomes useless without access to the software behind the screen.

i love how you're calling us fan bois lol sorry like area i think its pointless to paying 400 bux for a tune that can't be modded and doesn't support any substantial mods
is trifecta perfect.. i dont thinkg anyone is saying that.. however.. it's better money spend then the superchips.. if there is an issue .. it can be investigated and fixed..
if something is wrong with the superchips setup... let me know how that goes to get it fixed... after doing 3 ss/tc tunes with trifecta ... i can safely say it's a GREAT increase.. we even had one person who had a dreaded running to rich issue that vince ran into .. he promtly fixed it and the car felt MUCH better .. vince is usually pretty easy to get a hold of and prompt with fixing things.. again is he perfect.. NO.. and would getting an HPTune be better.. yes i can be better or worse depending on the knowledge of the tuner and custom hptunes also have the price factor.. they USUALLY tend to be more expensive for a full custom tune...
however i have a secret about trifecta that would probably **** you off about a very reputable company thats looking to have them do tunes for an ss/tc setup..
does bashing trifecta and calling the people who are actually talking things out and making sense make you feel better that you spent too much money ?
