Tuner Review Thread
For years this site has had individual tuners with no issues. Lately it seems people have a problem with this.
This thread is to discuss the tuning you recieved from someone and whether or not you recommend them. That way we do not have 500 threads about people getting tuned.
Since I made this thread I will be obviously reading through it. So those who want to fight and argue will be dealt with accordingly.
If you want to keep this thread open, please report those who are causing problems.........

Well I'll start it off. I traveled from Chicago to Vine Grove, KY to meet with CCSS3 (James). It was very much worth my time. He's a good guy and is willing to work with you with whatever you need. I would reccommend him to anyone.

Got tuned by Bika when I had my TC. I was very happy with my tuning experience. He's a great guy to work with, price was very fair, and in the end made a new friend out of it. Idk how much tuning he actually does or wants to do anymore, but he does a great job for anybody in the NE Ohio area. Also, car made 300 whp /360 tq.

I drove from Cincinnati to vine grove,ky to have James, ccss3 tune my cobalt. And i feel he did a great job. He did everything I asked and explained it all to me to understand what was going on because I knew very little. Really nice guy and will not let you do things to your car if he feels it is unsafe unless u absolutely insist. On a very conservative tune my cobalt with intake and catted downpipe made 304whp and 354 torque. Very reliable tuner. I will be going to him to get my car refined for my new mods. And he doesn't charge much at all for the tune either, which is awesome. Good guy for the community. I ignore all the bs arguing between the tuners.

Maybe. No one knows it but you are one of the best LNF tuners I know.
Pretty sure you have the LS1 down now too with all the time you spent on your trans am.
If anyone needs a tune near Indiana I would highly recommend Iam Broke (Tom). He knows about as much as I do about tuning LNFs.

Tuned by James (CCSS3). He is very willing to help no matter what the time was. I think he was more motivated to get my car running right than i was haha. Very fast responding and a great tuner. Highly recommend!
My winter tune came out at 407hp/391trq

I don't advertise on this site that my car is modified in any way because of the lurkers, trolls, and idiots with more opinions than intelligence, but I'll come out and admit to a tune done by Tom with just a ZZP IC and ZZP catted downpipe, on E47. I'm out of warranty now, anyway. I received my HPTuners from ZZP about a month or so ago and immediately contacted Tom to consider tuning for me. He was very quick with his response. In fact, he provided me with a free gas tune for the 3 bar sensors that I put in, just so I could drive until I saved up the money for him to get my E47 tune going. In fact, he ended up providing me with the E47 tune before I even came up with the money. Great guy. Anyway, he always responded to me right away after sending him logs. I don't know when he sleeps. He'll tell you anything you want to know about tuning. I still have to study up before I start asking him stuff.
First off, I'm coming from a Trifecta 20/24 PSI 93 octane tune and a 21 psi Trifecta E85 tune that would run out of fuel pressure in 4th gear.
Tom's base file scared me. My eyes bugged out my head and hit the steering wheel. I was convinced I was going to hear a BOOM! Tire spin everywhere and more power than I knew what to do with, so the first log went to Tom at about 10PM that night. The next day, he had me a modified tune which increased torque at part-throttle and decreased boost to a smoother ramp in 3rd gear. That tune was awesome, but my clutch just wouldn't hold it in 3rd. The increase in torque for 2nd gear part-throttle was awesome for driving around town, though. I sent that log and had another tune the same day that cut boost to 21-22 psi and went in slower in 3rd. That tune worked great. I wasn't spinning in 3rd and the clutch was holding, but 4th was burning the clutch up. That tune was sent to Tom and I had another the next day that worked perfectly with some corrections to the cam tables and other stuff I know nothing about. No knock, 22 or so degrees of timing, a smooth boost ramp, and what I feel like is not too far of a separation in horsepower and torque. I don't have a dyno because I hate them, but maybe I'll do one after I get a clutch in. The current tune puts me from 60-100, all third gear, in 4.8 seconds.
The jist of it is: Tom is the ****. I know that everyone loves their tuners, but Tom is very responsive and he is an older guy, like me, so I know he's not some flake. He's very courteous and professional, and his prices are very reasonable and comparable to the other tuners on this board. Of course, I considered David and James because of all their good press, but when I found out Tom was available, I jumped at it. Thank you, Tom, for the great tune. I, of course, will be in touch with any progress in the future. I wanna go back to that 2nd file with a good clutch. I just can't say enough good things about Tom.
I have completely demolished a modded N/A 350Z, a 2000 Camaro SS, my brother's modified LS1 Firebird, and some poor guy in a 2011 STI. I still lost to my Father's Grand National, but just barely. I think the clutch will get me there. My Father is 72 and getting a little slow on the reaction time. My wife used to hate my car, and now wants to drive it........as long as she doesn't have to mix the fuel.
