I am interested in that block thing that does the same job as a clay bar. What is it made out of? I know with the clay, you can see when it is dirty and get another piece. How do you tell when this is dirty and then what do you do when it is?

Excellent Question!
The face of the oxidation block is made of elastic material.
First, we need to establish if indeed, we need the Oxidation Block, one simple easy test is to use a very thin clear sandwich bag over your hand ( using it as a glove) and pass your hand very gently over the surface in a small section, you will feel what appears to be very tinny bumps, that's an indication that your surface is contaminated, and that you will need to prepare the surface better.
If any of you is going to do this test, PLEASE be gently!! I'm not responsible if you don't follow the instructions and scratch the surface!
Once we have established that, pre rinse the vehicle, wash the vehicle and then do a small area, afterwards dry the surface and re do the bag test if need, usually this is so effective that you will feel the difference just with your bare hand.
If you are a first-time customer using our Oxidation Block, please follow the instructions very carefully.
Prior to using this product the surface must be completely dirt free; plenty of lubricant must be used ( from the water/car shampoo mix) apply to a very small area for testing purposes before using the product on the entire vehicle surface, While the vehicle still wet, Hold the rubber side against the surface and glide over it back and forth GENTLY. Don't press it hard onto the surface and rub it roughly. Repeat the gliding motion with water until you feel the surface is smooth, While the vehicle still wet.
