Looking for a stock tune pcm.

Wondering if I can just plug this in to my car without problems if someone can answer that question first.

 

Not 100%, but I think the VIN needs to put in.

 

Yea that's what I thought. And that's done by the dealer or hpt I think.

 

theft system wont let it run due to the vin contradicting whats in the bcm. either have a dealer program it, or hpt change the vin in the ecm

Yes and no.
Do you have HPT?

If so you need to plug the new PCM into your car and then plug HPT in. License the VIN ($100). Then you should be able to pull the tune that is on that PCM. Change the VIN to your VIN in the file. Flash it on. Try to start. You may have to do a passlock relearn and/or crank relearn.

 

It will work i have a spare that i used for a week without a problem, i only had to do the security relearn that zzp has on their page

 

I'm about to buy hpt and wanted a spare stock ecu because my current one has a tune on it.

Yup it worked fine for me without changing the vin i bet if i swap it right now it would still fire hasnt been on for like 6 months.

And at the moment im not selling it have some plans for it
