$20,000 vs. $40,000

On the way home with the girlfriend, I notice an Infinity g35 haul ass to catch up with me. I can tell he was itching to get next to me, but there is traffic, and I don't like messing around in traffic. But right as I get to my appartment complex, the traffic drops off, and there is wide open road ahead. So he finally is able to get next to me and we take off. It was like a 45 roll launch from second, and he got out in front before I stepped on it, but once I did launch, I kept right with him. I've raced a couple of these before, with varying results, and the conditions wern't optimal for me to really go at it(the girlfried was yelling at me cause we had hot japanese food to eat), but the result was pretty much what I expected. We then managed to hit a red light, with once again no traffic around, and I had a pretty good launch. He got barely a car length ahead of me from the launch, but then I started reeling him in towards the end, right as we shut it down.(We wern't on the highway unfortunately).

Anyways, I know this isn't that exciting, but it was funny because when we pulled up to a second stoplight, he asked me what my car was all about, and then said, "Goddammit, I payed forty grand for this, and you were hanging with me!" I laughed, he peeled out, and we went our seperate ways.

Gotta love forced air induction..

meh.. i wouldn't get a G35 for speed, i'd get it more for luxury with a little pep. i guess that guy was the opposite and based speed on price.

you better watch out! he's going to trade in the G35 and buy 2 20k cars now!

I personally love G35's and would take one in a heartbeat. As said above, its the luxury not the speed. G35's are quick but plush. But they can be made fast and still be comfortable doing so.

He was kinda nice because usually they will spit on your car or totally ignore you
I wish there would be more people like him

Yeah, messing with 350z's and G35s is fun, but I would still take one!

$40k into a cobalt with better results than $40k and have a stock car.

Either way I would still love to afford a 350z. I'd really love to be able to afford a turbo kit + a 350z.

most people don't even buy a 20k car in cash up front, let alone have the cash for a 40k car. i can't imagine a bank would give you 40k for a 20k car so you can use that other 20 either.
