04 Mustang GT vs 07 SS/SC
I was hanging out with a friend and he mentioned his dad had an 03 mustang gt with an intake and a couple bolt ons. He is not very mechanical so I am guessing it doesn't have too much done to it. He wants to bet me $100 that he beats me on a roll race from 30-120 by at least 1 car length. I have 60's OTT tune 2.8 pulley cobra heat exchanger dual pass endplate K&N intake. What do you all think? Should I bet him? I am more than willing to throw $100 down on this race with some feedback.
BTW I really dont think he has more done to the car than an intake and maybe spark plug wires or some **** like that lol, like I said he wouldn't be able to install it. Mustang is a manual btw.

Manual and hes a good driver then we will see. Though with no real mods then im still leaning towards giving you the nod for the race. If its tune intake and exhaust and hes a decent driver he can get you.
My 89 GT kept with with decent drivers in the 99-04 body style but if I met another good driver like myself id get walked decently. My gt was slow though. Best time I have of it was 14.42 at 98mph with a 2.2 60ft. Mods... well cooling fan and cold air intake and it was a convertible 5 spd with 2.73 gearing even had a full tank of 87 octane stock timing anf 225/60/15 Viper HX tires . So it all just depends on drivers.

I've only ran one 99-04 GT, but I murdered him from a 40-roll twice. Won't lie, it was an auto, but had bolt-ons. Stage 2 components, badass tune . Fellow MI native down here in VA, he loved it as much as I did.

if you are worried about the tires then just ride your clutch just a little to get you going and you will catch the slow ass rustang by the time you catch 2nd... the mustangs can be made fast but the reason the owners mostly do not is that the block will not stand the pressure and blow. i raced a 04 gt when i was stock, the gt had a procharger and a cam, i went around him at 80 and he never caught me.
we were at 150 when the engine let go 2 rods thru the side of the block. now this is my sons father n law. so i do not see you haveing a problem with the stang.... go get him....
