05 Cobalt SS vs. 04 350z
So I was with my friend yesterday, he owns an 04 350z Track edition. I have an 05 cobalt SS /w a k&n typhoon intake. Both of us have had our cars for a while now and both have plenty of miles on them so they are broken in. We were bored so we decided to race, we went from a couple digs and some rolls.
From a dig he won one time, b/c I f'd up my launch and I one once because he messed up his launch.
So to avoid any more screw ups we went from a 10, 20, and 30 mph roll.
From the 10 he was winning by less then half a car but he missed 3rd so I won.
From 20 I won the race by less then half a car
From 30 we were both dead even (from what both of us could tell our noses were at the same level)
What we realized was that both cars were even and it was a driver’s race. who ever go the better launch (from a dig) would win the race by the same amount he got from getting the better launch, after that no car would be able to get away from the other (it was a stalemate I would look at his car and it would be in the exact same place as it was from the beginning of the race now one could get away). If we won from a roll it was because either I or he got on the gas faster then the other and again no car would be able to get away.
Both cars were evenly matched (we even switched cars and did a few races that way and again the same outcome), this isn’t an exactly a kill or a loss im just proud of my car and wanted to post it. (I have also raced another of my friends Z's before my intake and he would beat me by half a car most of the time, and eventually gain a small lead on me.)

I can belive and praise that story. Nice race to both of you. But in All honesty he should have had the dig advantage with him being RWD. But than again you probly just out drove him.

well Im getting the TOG headers soon, followed by an exaust and eventualy stage 2 so im going to race him at every point. it should be interesting
