after looking at his mods he would be close to high 12's so i guess i would be possible depending on the year of the bike condition, and mods of it

The Ninja definitely wasnt racing. Im not a pro rider, but, I ran a 10.79 1/4 on a 2004 R6 with only an exhaust. Maybe he was trying to pass you and you thought he was racing. I know when I ride, I dont even pay attention to cars trying to race me, unless I know they're a challenge. Not many cars on the street running high 10's. Look for a pic of it on Google or something, and I can tell you what year it is...

Ok I know for a fact that he was racing me because we went on a back road for the sole pupose of racing. And when I said " wanna go from 40" he said "yes" then we raced and I won, end of story. I never said it was the fastest street bike ever I just said it was a 600.

Ya it kinda looked like that but it was an ugly neon greenish color and I could'nt see any thing that denoted a model or company. If I see him again I will find out what it is. Honestly I was very suprised when I started pulling on him, I was expecting to get raped. So I can understand where you nay sayers are coming from, but it did happen. I really need to buy a video camera!

not taking sides but there is a huge difference in an early 90's bike and 2004 bike both may be 600 but i bet stock for stock a 2004 will smoke the early 90's today they are putting out more horse etc.... trust me i had a 2000 gsxr 600 and i lost to a 2005 honda cbr 600rr and a 2005 yamaha r6

If it was a tired, first gen ninja I can see this happening. But just remember, no matter how good your car is at 40, 99% of crotch rockets are stronger. Those things are built for the highway, not the dragstrip. At the strip they're fighting wheelies the whole way, from a roll, not so much.

Oh, and whoever picked a 999 as a fast bike...twins like Ducatis are very quick, torquey, manuverable bikes. But a 1000cc+ four cyl will have a higher top end. Like a 'Busa. Ducatis are slow when you are comparing bike top ends.

if it was a brand new bike i dont believe it, i have a 500plus rwhp camaro and i stayed even with my brothers modded 2001 R6, now on the other hand i also have a 93 yamaha FZR600R and that thing is a T.E.R.D. terd! if he was racing an old like 88-91 honda 600 or a old yamaha or something i can believe it. remember old crotch rockets are very very slow! thats why they make great starter bikes! i played around with a buddies 97 or 98 yfz600 with my cobalt and he got me by well alot

Good kill. i raced a street bike a couple days ago from 40 and the highway. I actually stayed ahead of him from 40. I can tell you that he could not drive because everytime he shifted, i heard an awful noise. But on the highway i got raped lol.

i have a 1993 zx6 and a 2004 zx6rr the difference between the 2 is HUGE.....i can run 11`s on the 04 and about 13`s on the 93 but i dont like running the 93 that hard ...mainly because i have put over 60,000 miles on it =P

so beat a 600 sure would be possible, probably not a newer one but good kill either way

STFU, I'm sure cobaltBlackss beat the Ninja in his mind! He fails to realize the bike wasn't trying. A Ninja capable of low 11s with a skilled driver is always greater then a Cobalt capable of high 12s.

I beat modded harley davidson f-150 (same motor as lightning) when I had 42# injectors. They're really not that fast. I never said I beat an 11 second bike I just said I beat a 600.

I'm sorry but why would someone say they wanted to race, and then not try. You people make it seem like I just beat a high octane drag car. I have no idea what year it was so I couldn't tell you how it would do at the track.

there is a motorcycle stunt video called servin it up pt.1 where the star of the video darius owns a 240z with a turbocharged vette engine i think, it was laying down rubber in just about every gear, then he raced a yamaha r1 on the highway and easliy pulled away. i think it was making about 6-700 hp.

kills i had with my cbr 929 on the highway:

viper
vette
porche
srt-4
sti
lotus

but all these cars surprised me when i didnt just pull away real easy

we need a bike forum

ok this is exactly the point... you are talking about a vehicle that has a much better power to weight ratio than your car and has comparable if not shorter gearing. with a decent rider, this just isn't going to happen.
