dude i believe it without hesitation. this guy has some pretty good mods under his hood, close to 300hp im sure. i havent seen many people with his mods. most of you drive cobalts that are fast, but not in comparison with truly fast cars. so, how would any of you know how his particular car runs when 1) its a different car than yours and 2) he has it modded way more than most of us on here? he doesnt even know what year the bike was. most likely it was an older, stock 600. i couldnt see those getting out of the 12's and this guy's cobalt is definitely a 12 sec car.
and for the guy that said his 2004 R6 ran in the 10's... HOLY ****!!! haha! i have never seen a R6 run 10's but i dont doubt that you did it if you said you did. only bike i have seen do that is a BUSA and he ran a 9.56 at 150mph.

do the math... 12 sec bike vs. 12 sec car... hmmm. this one hurts my brain. that bike could be old enough to be high 12's or EVEN low 13's! you are basing your comment on the fact that a cobalt would never beat a NEWER 600cc bike. we are not talking about a newer bike though are we? there are even people on here saying that older bikes are much slower. so why isnt this possible again?

....I start my car, the LSJ purrrsss, I listen intently. Moments later I realize that the holocaust didn't happen and a brand new z06 is slow, the truth is out there......and inside the m62.

Pro riders get R6 in the 10's but who magazine races. Ive seen some 1k bikes run this and have seen busas run 9's and a turbo busa run a 8 flat at 190. The truth of the matter is even a CBR600F3 ran 11's so youd have to have a ninja with a terriable rider shifting from 1-3rd ride it. Theres 450rwhp Cobras and Camaros that barely edge out on one with a alright riders and with a good rider usally get hurt pretty good. The new Z06 puts down around 450rwhp in a 3100lb car and it beats it by a length with a good rider.

ok i'm sorry to bust your bubble bro, i have an r6 05' and i have a ss/sc in a race my r6 can bend my ss over ram it in the ass like they were in jail and then pass it. MAYBE you were racing a 500lb man with a 250. i don't mean to be rude bro but damn, a njna 6 would of beatin you easy, although smart riders on bike don't have a death wish maybe he was one of the few.

well all 600s have 600 cc engines, and all are 4 cylinders. seriously now. think about it this way. divide your power by, lets say 3, thats about how much a 600 should be putting down. now divide your weight by 5 or 6 and thats how much it weighs. now add in far less drag, and better gearing and you have a vehicle that is going to eat you alive if the guy can ride at all. i am not saying you didnt beat the bike, im just saying it is very unlikely. if you did, good job man that is sweet, but everyone here needs to realise that if he can ride he will own you.

A 9.56 isnt a 10 it's a 9. On a 1/4 track 600's arent that much slower than the liter bikes, time wise, the newer ones anyway.

I had a 1998 CBR 600 F3 and a 2005 CBR 600RR, the F3 went low 11's and the RR went 10's. That was with average riding and ok launches.
From a dig I was right beside liter bikes until about 120mph then they pull away which they should.
As for car vs bike the only place a car will have a chance is from a high mph roll. Unless were talking a 9 second dragster vs stock 600cc.
In my Camaro SS I raced a GSX-R 600 and CBR 600RR from a 80mph roll and it was pretty close until 140mph then I pulled until they shut down. That was when my Camaro was running mid 12's.
From a dig they both slaughtered me by bus lengths............

rode an R6 for about 5 years.
you may have beat him....but something went wrong.
either he was toying....or missed shifts.
bikes are just flat out ******* quick.
anyone who has sat in the saddle of a newish 600 rocket can tell you just how scary fast bikes can be.
even the little 600s
i know most of the bikes at any track ive been to usually do the fastest runs of the night.

Bikes have much more drag than cars. Thats why most bike manufactures quote the frontal area spec instead. At over 100 mph bikes are at a disadvantage aero wise.
But I still doubt he beat any kind of 600 that was less than 15 years old.

uh, +1, but... who (in a Cobalt) races a bike period? Seriously, you've got little chance... although I suppose if it's a Harley...
Fixed Seriously though, that was great, sad but true... I'm staged and I hate to see it when someone comes along and does the whole SS S/C > all thing. If that's true I need to get into SEMA yesterday, 'cuz I'm missing out on some serious cash.

most street bikes now and days at least have the power to hit 12's easily on the track.
I remember one day going for a cruise and a group of young guys riding crotch rockets were riding in front, each side of me and in the back, kinda like in the original FF for about 3 miles doing stunts while I whinned the car. Got a lot of looks
