So my cousins boyfriend thinks hes too cool and thinks he can walk on any car outthere just cuz he just bought this new camaro but the v6 version and automatic. i just cant wait to make him just see my tail lights during a race!! my mods: CAI, Headers, H/X. What do you guys say?

You should win. Stock A6 LLts can run mid to lowish 14s.


That being said, this story would be much cooler if you raced and then came and told us about it. Instead of "we may race".

the new v6's are very fast for a v6. but with ur mods u will smoke him. stock vs stock is a drivers race, as if the person in the ss did not no how to drive i would say it would be close. i have seen on video a stock v6 camero go 13.95 stock. it is where u race it at and where u are at above sea level... all in all the ss will be a faster car in stock form.

That's what Im saying. This ins't a war story. Guys don't sit in boot camp and talk about the soldiers they are gonna fight when they get to war, they do it after.

a guy with headers and a tune went 13.50s on camaro5 in a V6... stock they seem to be 14.3-14.5 cars, so i'd say you'd beat him... i'm wanting to run one of the new SS's myself...

I hope he doesn't think the auto is a "disadvantage" for the camaro...... because, uhh... its a 6-speed automatic and well, you don't have the advantage over autos like you used to did with the 4-speeds... now, they have the gear ratios to match your manual... so as stated, if you can't launch he is going to beat you, because he is going to be a CONSISTENT low 14 second car... and honestly, the more I think about it, you might not win at all from a dig, I still THINK you'd take a race from a roll... but you're on the stock pulley, is it stock tune? because if it is, even with headers, I think AT BEST you car would be a 14.2-14.3 car and well, that is pretty much what he is going to run... throw in the fact that realistically you are probably a mid-14 second car and well... not saying you won't win, you might but I doubt all he'll be seeing is "tail lights"... you're probably going to be hoping for a fender

i'm telling you, these new V6 Camaros are pretty quick, they run about like the new edge GT Mustangs('99-'04), not saying you can't win, but you better know how to drive

alright we race on sat, the weather was good high 60s and well damm we raced from a dig to like 110ish and he got me by ill say alittle less than a car with me catchin up after launch. i expected this since its alot easier for him to launch( Auto+RealWheel) so i told him to do a 40 roll after...at 40-120ish i got a bit more confident and pulled on him just a little more than half a car...and that was it...i couldnt get a vid cuz it was just him and i on both cars but soon there will be...one thing is for sure these cars are not as slow as people say they are...and well am pretty much stock...so i consider ours been quick just as they are as well...

people call them slow because compared to most of the turbo or s/c cars on here, they are. but stock vs a lightly modded ss s/c they can put up a fight. They are still pretty slow from a roll though.

yea ill say it was a pretty good fight even though i underestimated him...but i gotta say i could had done a little better from 40. cuz i kept pulling little by little until i let it go first...

If you're doing a roll rice,you should win. If you race at the track and drive like half of the asshats around here, you may have problems.

get gm stage 2 or OTTP stage 1 and he wont be close to you.
