Ok so im comin back from school on the freeway, and i see a srt up ahead...so i catch up to him and take a look..sounded stock so i figured i give it a shot...he nods his head at me and we went from a 3rd gear pull...we were dead even until he hit 4th and started to crawl away...next we did a 4th gear run, and he just walked on me. the last run we did from 2 gear, i got a jump on him and continued to pull even in 3rd and then we had to break for traffic, but it was a fun run nonetheless..the guy pulled over and was like. wtf you got in that thing..lol..i cant wait to race another srt when i get my stage kits and exhaust.

 

04' was the fastest year for that car so...nice

ya they were less finicky when it came to mods...idk what happend with the 05 but i was surprised myself.

 

lol well i used to have a ford probe so when i beat someone i used to say.."YOU JUST GOT PROBED HOMIE!!"...lol but now that i have a cobalt..i have to find a catch phrase that i can use when i race ppl...any ideas?

the 04' srt has a better tranny than the 05'. each year dodge changed the tranny on those things

 

werid, you would think they would figure out which tranny was best when building the prototype.

 

What I do is when I run against Mustangs and cars that I know have a V-8, after I race them I say, "that thing's pretty quick for a 6-cylinder!" Then when I get the "No its a V-8" I say "WOW mine's only got a 4-banger in it!" Pisses them off most of the time

 

What i have noticed about the srt-4's is that from a 3rd gear kick they pull us, but from a 2nd gear kick, will pull them, and from a dead stop, its a drivers race.
