with just cai you will lose from a roll, and get owned from a stop. Get stage 2 and exhaust, and it'll be a totally different story.

You will only lose from a dig if he knows how to launch an STI, which means about 5000rpm.

A dig you will lose, but not as much as you think, go run and let me know the results.

I don't know about the STi, but the EVO has the capability of having full boost at launch. Also its fool proof because if you brake and floor it, the car automatically goes to 5k and stays there, with full boost. That means complete ownage off the line.

A full second difference in the 1/4 for average drivers isn't exactly a cliff hanger, I get the feeling the difference will be just what he thinks it will from a dig with an average driver behind the wheel.

STi's do not have this. It can be had through various aftermarket parts, but it doesn't roll off the show room floor like that. It takes more skill to launch an STi than an Evo if Evo's achieve full boost off the line like you're saying.
