Probably even easier to mod a car that's N/A versus one that has F/I. I'm sure it would be expensive to slap a S/C on a vette, but even at 5 pounds of boost that should be good for a couple ponies at the wheels.

OK... you're welcome. Something tells me you hated them long before my post.

Oh and I must concur w/the other person that mentioned it, that's not an 06 Z06, the headlights are pop-up and aren't flush
I can't believe someone who owns a Redline/CobaltSS would be talking about how using a S/C is wimpy I mean, GM did exactly the same thing. Instead of building an N/A engine to beat Type-S's and the like, they went with a Supercharger. You know why? It's a logical business decision. Rather than put tons of money into developing an engine that makes great specific output, just S/C an engine you have. Extremely cost effective and therefore less expensive to buy. Basically, the same thing the '03 Cobra did.

Oh, and Ford did build an N/A car that was in the same league as the LS1... the Mach 1. The LS1 was still slightly faster, but it is the definition of a drivers race.

The compression ratio may be to high to put on a smaller pulley and end up blowing head gaskets..there are alot of things to consider when modding a FI car, many of which we don't exactly know the details of so we can't say for sure. Yes more people will own the mustang, but you can't say for sure how many people will mod them.
Yeah, I know what you're saying. Because of the sucess of the '03-'04 Cobra's, it only makes sense that Ford would design the car essentially as an '03 Cobra w/ a bigger engine and blower, which would make all my predictions very likely.

However, we all know that just because something makes sense, doesn't mean a car company will do it.

I think there's quite a difference in supercharging a pocket rocket vs supercharging a premium sports car. Porsche has numbers close to Ford's big V-8 but uses a V-6 to produce those numbers. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this subject. I've never been a fan of the Blue Oval. The more someone tries to convince me the more I resist. I mean don't get me wrong they do have some nice vehicles, but they just don't appeal to me.

the thing you have to keep in mind is that ford went modular with the mustang to save money, not put out insane power numbers. the 4.6 had already been around for a few years so it was a LOT more cost efficient to throw it in the mustang instead of develop an whole new engine program. they were outselling the F-bodies by far without making gobs of power, so there was no need to make a 300+ hp N/A V8.

personally i wish Ford would've designed a new N/A pushrod motor up there with the likes of the LS1, but they didnt. so we have to play the hand we're dealt. it just so happens that hand loves boost.

The Mach1 and the LS1 GTO is a drivers race, LS1 fbodies are usually faster.
