so i finally decided 2 race a kid who like 2 talk a lot of **** and i just sat back taking it cause i really didnt know what 2 expect we worked from 8-4 2gether 2day and he wouldnt shut his damn mouth about how fast his civic w as so 4 oclock comes and i told him u talk alotta **** lets go right now. he looked at me kinda funny and said y so i can kick the **** outta a slowbalt lmao a guy in a civic w/e we go down a country road and agree 2 do 3 runs 2 from a dig and 1 from a 40 mph roll 1st race i took him outta the whole had 2 cars by 80 and slowed down from a 40 only a car kinda suprised but he had it still in 2nd it was a really short gear he said he was at like 6200 rpm's so of course he got a tad bit of a jump but i got him by 2 and a 1/2 to 115 the last 1 from a dig i get him big time could not have raced any better i am pretty damn proud of my cobalt i know i only beat an si but its a start ordering stage 2 here later this month he said he was gonna order a turbo 2nite just so he could beat me i laughed and then he did a famous ricer fly by i just sat back and laughed

Thanks for sharing. Its great when you just chill cuz you know what your car can do. A guy at work has a stage 3 APR VW Turbo Jetta. Alot of VW fans there and they bash my car. Not anymore my freind cuz I pulled like a **** on him in every gear. I have stage II and all the GMP upgrades. Now everyone suddenly thinks cobalts are nice.

a ricer fly by = i am going 55 and he goes flying by me at like 110 and never slows down as 4 keeping it at the track i usually never ever street race i have had my car 4 3 and 1/2 months and its only the second time i have ever raced only took it 2 the track once and ran a 14.45 1/4 mile and 2.21 0-60 i'll find the slip and post it i also got the vid of the racce from earlier i will try and post it but its from a cell phone so we'll c what i can do

Same here....this is VW country. They even drive around together smoking the tires and what not. Haven't been harassed yet so I just ignore them.....great story

 

i raced an si once, it was an embarrassment. he tried the "ricer fly by", i cought up around 80 or so, let off the accellerator, waved, and stomped on it n pulled on him.

Haha nicely done. Careful when he has turbo though those things can be quick. My previous car was a 89 turbo civic hatch and that thing was nuts. It would destroy my cobalt as it is stock right now but that'll change muahahah

 

good kill... you know whats funny i have this high school kid (im a sophmore in college) at car meets and he always talks **** that stock for stock the si will walk all over the ss s/c and he also said that stock si's run 14.2 1/4's Then i raced him from 40-90 and i couldnt see him anymore in my rear view
