Alright this was a rematch due to both of us having done more and him having fixed some ****.

1st time we race he pulled a half car out on me each time both from a dig and a highway punch.

Since the first race I was running on 87 this time though I ran 89 but wasnt aware till I got home tonight that the owners manual recommends 91 for the car so thats what it will see from here on out.

But onto the races.........




First match Dig to 90mph.

Traction control and ESC off.

He honks off we launch pretty even first gear he pulls me slightly and I start to think this is just the same as the previous race where I lost. I get through first the car shifts to 2nd I pull back up and begin to pass. By the end of 2nd I have a car on him. The car shifts into 3rd and I pull another half car out before we both shut down.

Irritated he wants another race. Ok thats cool.

2nd match Dig to 90???

He honks off Im caught sleeping a bit and he pulls a half car out on me right away and then widens it to a car. ****! The car hits 2nd and I begin to pull back up. By the end of 2nd im along side. The car shifts into 3rd and I pull a half car out then he shuts down.



Now hes irritated and says I was picking an old smaller displacement less horsepower heavier car.

So heres what I see...

93 Prelude 5 spd non si non vtec
H23 (2.3) 160hp 2850lbs.
+1 170lb driver
+1 180lb passenger
Mods: Catback advanced timing and cold air intake

08 Cobalt auto
2.4 173hp 3000lbs
+1 210lb driver
Mods: Short Ram Injen intake.


Either way I was pretty happy. I thought he was going to kill me. Oh and by the way the kid can drive pretty damn good as well known him for a while and rode with him several times.

So what do you guys think?

well hes irritated and wants a tune next week but hes going to put in premium and advance his timing more and not have a passenger this time.

Vs

me running 91 octane on hopefully a Jet Stage 2 canned tune.




Until then they decided he's still the fastest daily driver at Happy hour even though he lost 2 times....
