08 Colbat 2.4 vs 2001 Grand Am GT

So I was just out for a cruise last night, got under the bridge on the main street here and stopped at a light. This cat in an 01 (from the looks of it) grand am gt pulls up beside me, looks over at me and nods.. So I was pretty bored and felt I might as well oblige him, the light ahead was green and seeing as it was about 11:30 at night and ther were no cars ahead of us... so the light went green and I launch at about 2.5 k slow slip, he jumps ahead of me about half a car and I start pulling on him hard, I shift to second and pull about a car on him than hit it into 3rd and he shuts down, so anywho to add insult lol he drives by me, flips me off than takes a right turn and speeds off...
soo not a great war story but fun had by me lol!

Really depends if the 2.4 is manual or auto

If manual, the GAGT has NO chance in hell, we are talking over a 1/2 a second of difference.

Have you driven both?

The automatic takes 8 years and a day to shift.

My old SS>GAGT, by personal experience and run ins with them.

I can believe it, especially if you're a decent driver. My older Brother has had his 99 GAGT since brand new and its quick for what it is, but by no means fast. The torque in those cars are great, but the automatic sucks. Nice kill
