Yeah, his exhaust doesn't sound bad actually. He has a Corksport catback and a downpipe with a high flow cat. Honestly it can be a really nice car if he actually gave a **** about it. Theres a huge dent on the roof from when he was playing football. He threw the ball and it landed right on the roof. Haha. Plus when he drives he rides the **** out of the clutch and revs it all the time just to hear the bov. It does have a lot of potential to be a nice car though. I'll still whoop him, though.

does he have a set of bronze/gold rims on summer tires?

i was at garden state plaza and some ******* in a red MS3 decided it would be a good idea to drive through the 2 feet of fresh snow that was never plowed and got stuck. i just drove by and asked if he was on snow tires. he said nah max performance summer. i lol'd and drove away.

Hahaha he actually DID get stuck at a mall during one of the storms but it wasn't at GSP. He's had the butchered up painted black stockers for a couple months now.

honestly they are fine, the handful of issues is covered under warranty until the 60k under powertrain. Also the lnf/lsj have had engine issues too so you could call them the same.

the smoking turbo issue thing is embarassing lol. my friend hated driving it near crowds of people because every once in a while itd look like quarts of oil were being dumped downt he exhaust haha. other then that, they are great cars.

I have a 3 in. Hahn catless downpipe, Hahn catback exhaust, Dejon SRI, Dejob charge piping with an HKS SSQV, and a tune. Around 290-300 hp.

with those mods u should have more than 300hp i guess depends on tune what tune u have?

ya theres like what 6 p/n for turbo's on the ms3. I think they keep revising them. Never had an issue on my ms3, I think people dont maintain their car properly, like letting it heat up, letting it cool down, not beating the crap out of it

The cobb can tunes really dont push the cars potential. If you go get a custom tune, or use cpe's standback then you can make big power. Like the 400-450+whp ms3/ms6's are using cpe's standback.

after 60k you'd probably look for a turbo rebuild or an upgrade anyway. again I had 35k on mine with zero issues with that...so meh same **** happens on all other FI cars, the mzr 2.3L just got that stereotype pretty hard on it. I dont remember any MN ms3 owner having a issue except for the tool who intentionally over boosted his car to see "what would happen" and blew the engine...ugh

I'm on a tune for a stock set up still. In a few weeks when I have time I'm going to get BYT tuned and hopefully going to be making around 330 hp.

yeah, mod friendly dealer are very hard to come by. I still find it odd newer turbo's smoke, but I dont hear it happening on the cx7. They are tuned down some though. I wonder if they just think its easier to replace the turbo than put new updated seals on...idk, seems to happen less with the new ones than 07's but still pretty random. I think a friend on here knows a tech at a dealer thats ok with mods its just 2 hours from me...

the nearest one would be a 2 hour tow to maryland for a mod friendly dealership. but it was never an issue severe enough for him to care. just annoying. id buy one in a second if i had the cash

I do miss the ms3... The grand am cup this weekend the MS3 took the win for the ST class, while the SS was sucking ball sacks (the driver was horrible), so did the kia though too. When a SS gets passed by a gti in a corner...I cried and wanted to turn the tv off.

I think thats because the SS is fading away from that series and probably only a first year driver is all they could muster up. In no way is it the car...a few years back they were winner and or running in the top spots. Now only one lonely SS is going around...looking like a fish outta water

yea. i miss driving his with the mods. it was so nice on the interior, had some ***** to it, and handled nicely. kinda the best of both worlds. it was refined, but when you started grabbing gears you wouldnt have known it was so tame just cruising.
