After losing to a Jetta the night before, I needed to find a way to redeem myself. Just my luck, a black S2000 pulls onto the street from a nice restaraunt. And even more cool was that he had a girl with him. We get to a red light, and the guy stares at my car. Light goes green, and he doesn't do antyhing. Then all of a sudden, he speeds up, so IO catch up. We're doing a 45mph roll when we start. i honk three times, and we go. i pulled on him suprisingly pretty easily. He started to gain a little ground back at the beginning of 3rd gear, but not enough to catch me. I stayed a steady 2 lenghts ahead all the way to shut down. He musta got embarrassed in front of his girl, cuz he slows down and flips a bitch ..Anyways, good times, and I love my car again.
BTW, i saw a '07 GTI on the street, but it was some dude test driving. i tried to get him to race but he wouldn't Oh well. I'm sure I'll be seeing one soon again

The body style has barely changed over the years, but I would guess it's the "old" style.

Ive driven an old S2000 with intake exhuast and test pipe, and new style S2000 stock. Both seemed too lack a certain umphhh that we all are used too. Oh Ive beat them both, 1 car lengh on th older w/bolt-ons, and the new style stock one by about 3 car lengths.

 

yea, it didn't fight like I thought it would.

 

i raced a brand new s2000 yesterday at a stop light we got off the line the same but at the end of 1st i was 1/2 car ahead and by the end of 2nd i was 1 1/2-2 cars ahead so i shut it down and my cars all stock.(took intake off because of cel)

he probably had somewhere else to go... i mean in my old tbord i raced a 300zx through 2 counties at like 1:30 in the morn then hit an exit and went home... like 45 mins out of my way but worth it... just sayin he prob wasnt embarrased...

 

what kind of intake? and is it for sale?

 

pretty good, I've seen them in the 14.1-14.4 range stock at the drag way. Once they get moving they are really strong.

 

yeah i ran into one off a launch and he ate me with his rwd and my wheel hop lol but after i hit second it started gaining on him slowly but i didnt have enough time to catch him cause of traffic. i rly want to run into one again.... good kill
