can a 2.2 beat a civic SI with vtec?? because i raced my friend who has a 97 base model civic non vtec and destroyed him. i mean is vtec THAT much better.

 

new body style civic no. unless your running some good mods and or hes a shitty driver

but if its older depends on what is done to it. but you stand a fair chance

the b16 civic(00 bodys tyle) you will pull froma dig and they first gear, but after that vtec kicks in he'll reel u in and pass you...the k20 si you will pull from a dig, and as soon as your goin into 2nd, he'll be passing you...i know cuz i raced Si's when i was stock...the olnly thing w/vtec i could beat was a 4door GSR and the ricer D series

well yea. i plan on trying. lol. i was jus wondering. cuz i hate civics. and all my friends are tellin me i have NO chance, i mean i know chances are ill prolly lose, but i didnt think it wood b as horrible as their saying. plus if you guys said i WOULD win, then maybe i wood put some stakes down. lol
