Ok so this wasn't a race. But it was my first encounter with speed and another car.

I was driving on a local highway (376E for those of you in Pittsburgh), and it's three lanes at one point. Well I was in the far left lane and a 350Z was in the center lane. I passed it and proceeded to get back into the center lane. Well as I sped up, I noticed he was still on my tail. So I said Ok, let's have some fun. I floored it and took off. Well I figured he would stay back then since I was doing 75 before I decided to floor it.

Nope. He stayed behind me. So I kept it floored. I did pull away from him eventually... but probably because he let off. By the time all was said and done, I was doing 115 and he was dropping back. He got off at the end of 376 and headed towards Monroeville, and I went towards Murrysville, so I didn't get to give him a friendly nod at the next red light. I would've liked to have told him "Nice car!" I like them. They seem pretty nice.

Now before anyone gets angry, I don't think that I beat a 350Z. I just played with one and he played with me. We had fun. I just figured I'd share the bedtime story.

 

Yeah, I agree, he wasn't racing.

He "dropped" because nobody in their sane mind drives 115mph.

 

Haha... yes I know. I was shocked when I looked down and saw that.

He'd have crushed me if he was racing. I just thought it was a fun little run together.

 

I got killed by a 350z once

 

everytime i see one of those i touch myeself...but that's ok cuz ill buy myself one for a college graduation when i have my BAS ME degree. it'll be one of those "you survived four years of hell welcome to the rest of your life of hell" type things...but i digress, yea it sounds like he was just playing with you but even still..it was kinda cool to see how easy he could just keep with you huh?
