im thinkin about racin this guy and i know for a fact all he has is a downpise and exhaust and a cf hood. i wana race from a 25mph roll think i stand a chance? my mods r in my sig. i persoanlly think i will hang with him but i want ur opinions. do you think i should wait till i have more mods or would it be close as i am?

 

WRX's are known to be weak from a roll, I'd say race him and see where you stand. You never know, you could pull ahead. How sure are you he didn't get his ECU reflashed to take advantage of his TBE?

 

well its one of my friends friends and there both pretty good friends and he told me he wasnt tuned at all so im going off of my buddies word

 

Sounds solid, I'd do it. You may be suprised at the outcome. I will say that his turbo lag should be pretty much non existant with that tiny td04 turbo opened up and unrestricted by 2 of the 3 cats(if he didn't replace the Up Piep) being removed.

 

so u think i may hang with him. i dont wana get beat by alot i raced my buddies 07 wrx but he is tuned turbo back turbo swap front mount intercooler i meen hes got alot he beats stage 2 sti's and he beat me by ALOT so i dont wana go threw that agian lol

 

A turbo swapped WRX and a WRX with a TBE are two completely different animals. The one you're thinking of racing won't even be in the same league as the turbo swapped WRX. I think it's worth a shot. If you're really worried, just plug in a 50-75 shot of the juice and really surpise him.

u will loose to a 05 wrx...if its turbo'd u dont stand a chance,he will walk u,if its the regular model u might be able to pull something out
