2.4L SS vs. Lexus
hey everyone, here's the scoop, Im driving my 2006 2.4L SS (w/ full magnaflow 2.25inch catback exhaust and drop-in K&N)
Around 2am I get off the highway on my way home. I look ahead to see a very clean silver sedan at the red lights. As I get closer I see the Lexus badge and IS250. I dont know a lot about Lexus but I can tell a new car when I see one. It was definatly a 2006 model. So I pull up next to him, and take a not too obvious look at the driver. He mustve been between 25-30 dressed a little thugged out with his window half down. Im thinking...Im dead, but lets see anyway. The light turns green and I casually pull away...while double clutching trying to get his attention, lol. He definately heard that not-so-stock sounding exhaust because he was next to me again very quickly. Another red light ahead, eye contact is made, its on. The street coming up was a 50km/h zone, so Im thinking...nothing too crazy. Its winter so Im also thinking 'don't try a fancy launch cause those tires are spinning for sure'. Light turns green, he doesnt spin and neither do I. All the way to the top of 1st we're side by side. I shifted a little too quickly into 2nd and the tires started spinning, but I quickly fixed that with a very brief let off of full throttle. After I got traction I started to slowly inch ahead of him, by the time I was in 3rd I had between 1/2 a car and a full car length ahead of him. Thats when I hit the brakes and he flew by me and out of sight.
It felt great, did a little research before this post and found out that car is automatic, a 2006, 204hp, 184trq, 3400 pound car.....booya
