Well someone in a stock car finally tried to race me today. It was a Acura 3.2CL (regular). I've only had people in moddified civics and integras try to race me (they don;t count, they are way too easy to beat).

Anywho, we left the line, he punched so so did I, I had about a car length into 2nd gear, and about 2-3 by 3rd gear. I really wasn't too impressed with the race. thought the 3.2 would be faster.

Oh well, off to the track next weekend for some 1/4 mile times

 

I don't know about you mike, but I am fairly impressed with the 2.4. I have an auto (shrugs) and last night was the first time I have ever really gotten on it. I gotten in it before (only 1800 miles on her) but last night had an older EL Camino, just happened to be a buddy of mine, try and race me down town so I finally went for it. Did a slower start and then hit it. Looked down and was hitting 6,000 rpms and then it shifted and kinda gripped harder. It was awesome. Don't really get into a lotta races, especially with an auto, but good to know I could if I wanted to or some one pissed me off enough.
