So I got my new intake on last night, and was heading home from buddies house who helped me with the install... I get on Arcola, at a set of lights and this 04 Focus pulls up beside me, he motions me to roll down my window and says "hey wanna race" I was like "No not really" and he proceeds to say "what are you scared your slow cobalt is gonna get smoked" I just kinda smirked at him, and asked him what model and year his car was, he said SES and it was an 04, than I asked him what he had done, he said turbo, exhaust, cai, headers, dp, and engine swap...
so I was like sure... anywho I don't believe this guy one bit (its regina sask, no one tunes focus's here) ... so I say sure, by this time lights are just changing, light goes green, I take off about 2.5 k launch.. let her get up to revs in 1st than punch it into second... this guy is already 1.5 cars behind me... anywho once I hit second and start hitting my higher revs and by the time I hit 3rd, Im about 3 cars ahead of this guy...
so we stop at the next red light and I asked him "what happened"
and he replies "turbo lag" so i'm sure this guy was complete BS about any of his mods... seeing as his car was slow as *****...I laugh at him and he drives off as I turn off onto my street

sounds like a lot of work for a lot of slow, turbo should have done more

seriously, I think its all bs, i've only got an intake on my car, with a turbo, he should have killed me... I honetly think he has nothing done to his car
