Man I didn't do it like this. I removed the bottom all together and left it open. Used an AEM dryflo with a clamp on the neck it to hold it in.

initially I designed this so I could run the k&n drop in filter. I now run the factory ac delco filter which is actually a larger better filter.

u cant remove the bottom lid and run the factory filter. the number of holes and size of the holes are almost the same as running without the lid on.

I flow 39 lbs/min with this setup. The injen intake only flowed 33.95 lbs/min.

Staged out of curiosity would cutting more holes in the side of the lid aid in flow at all? Or would the gains be minute?
