Another kill for the 2.4!

Me='07 Ion 2.4L stock automatic
Him='06 Focus SE ZX3 5-speed 2.0L w/intake

I was driving around this morning and this guy pulls up next to me at the light in a Focus hatchback and starts revving on me. I am always ready for a little action so I rev back. The light turns green and I am gone! I always stop racing around 60-ish, which almost the top of 2nd gear. By 60, I was 1.5 cars ahead. We got the next green light. He actually did worse this time, spinning way too much off the line. Had 2 full cars on him at 55. So we get on the highway and see what the deal is. We line up at 40mph. 3 honks-I slowly pull on him all through 2nd gear. When I hit 3rd, I am about 1 car ahead of him.

We pull over at the next plaza and start talking about my car. He asked if it was one of the "new Redlines." I told him if I were in a Redline, he wouldn't have had a chance in hell. He was surprised to find out he was beaten by a stock automatic Saturn As I pulled away, I snapped a few pics of his car with my phone:

^I was thinking that too...he had an a-pillar gauge and I swear I heard a 'pfft' sound after every shift when we were on the highway. Does nitrous make any noise like that when you shift gears?

The noise must have been his intake gasping for air when he let off the throttle to shift. I am going to try and get my new AEM CAI installed today and call him back for a rematch (this time, on video-and yes, I got his cell # - I was thinking rematch the whole time!)

On a few forums I've been looking through, there are a lot of Fuckuses running low 16s to high 15s with just bolt-ons. It must be the low curb weight?
